Today I’m inspired by…Thanksgiving. I am so thankful that I have a loving and supportive family. Here’s to a happy holiday for you!
Fall has officially arrived…and only for a few weeks before it snowed here in MN yesterday. Crazy! I love looking outside and seeing the leaves change- I am lucky that my commute takes me past the Arboretum so I can see all of the fall colors. Here are more inspiring fall items from the web.
Marisol’s Garden Bracelet by Mayideas Inspiration point: I love the simplicity of this bracelet. Just a little skeleton leaf and some colored beads makes this a cute idea for an accent or card.
La Fleur de Boheme Bedding from Land of Nod Inspiration point: I like this color combination- sort of a “girlier” version of your typical fall colors. The flower prints work so well with the stripes.
Front Porch Tumbler by Urban Outfitters Inspiration point: I love the colors and “doodle” leaves on this tumbler. It would be easy to re-create with a pen and some markers.
Brown Plaid Button Trim Cap by Fred Flare Inspiration point: Another alternative to a fall combination- and I love the mismatched buttons!
Leaf Print Pillow from Honey Bunch Kids Inspiration point: First, these colors are fabulous. Second, this pattern is so simple- it would make a great border on a page (just a few thin strips of paper with some simple leaf shapes layered on each other) or a doodle on a card.
Leaf Print Set by Blick Art Inspiration point: This would be a super-simple way to jazz up some paper or home dec item- leaf stamps. I remember in grade school painting leaves we had found in our yards and trying to get the perfect print on our Thanksgiving cards but it never worked. Thank you, Dick Blick, for giving us an easy way to make beautiful art.
